Elder Studies World-Wide Educational Curriculum
One of the primary pillars of the Elder-Corps is its deep commitment to providing continuing educations programs – both degrees and life-long learning – for all participants.
This curriculum will be presented by the adjunct faculty of Wisdom Graduate School, Ubiquity University, and by members of AgeNation’s World Council of Wisdom Keepers, including some of the leading experts, authors and wisdom keepers of our time. It is committed to delivering new forms of education that integrate rigorous intellectual content with earth-based consciousness.
Elder-Corps Travel/Study Programs
A series of programs that provide both degree and non-degree students as well as members of the
general public with the opportunity to travel to unique destinations and sacred sites, immerse themselves in new cultural traditions, and participate in unique work/ study projects.
Elder-Corps World-Wide Service Projects Program
Executed in collaboration with a number of national and international partners, these projects provide practical opportunities for both degree and non-degree students to invest their current skills, talents and life experience and to develop new skills that will make a positive difference in their own lives and in the lives of others. These projects may also offer opportunities for paid employment as well as volunteer engagement.
With the aim of preparing staff, champions and volunteers to successfully execute their responsibilities in Elder-Corps service projects, Elder Corps Training Academy will offer retreat experiences that focus on cultural and language orientation and the development of practical vision-driven values-based leadership skills, strategic and operational planning skills, communications and negotiation skills and more. Training will also be provided through ongoing digital programs offered by AgeNation, The Wisdom Graduate School, Ubiquity University, and other strategic partners.
The Elder-Corps Institute
This is a critical component in the Elder-Corps mission. The Institute will design and execute a
series of symposia, conferences, retreats and workshops that bring leaders from the public, private, academic, non-profit and media sectors together with leading expert and wisdom keepers of our time to engage in unique dialogues and interactive, experiential sessions designed to identify and formulate solutions and strategies to meet the critical issues of our time.
A second mission of the Institute will be the Elder-Corps Media Initiative, designed
to develop a variety of media pathways that allow participants in Elder-CorpsTM as well as wisdom keepers and other experts who serve as regular and adjunct faculty in the educational programs, to provide sagacious and non-partisan commentary and perspective to the general public on current events.
Blogs, digital newsletters and magazines, podcasts, social media strategies and web- TV and other forms of traditional broadcast programming and short form series for mobile applications will be among the pathways utilized.
